Ken and I are officially retired, but I think we’re busier than ever.
We both love to sing 4-part acappella music in the barbershop style… as members of the Barbershop Harmony Society and Sweet Adelines International.
Ken is proud to be the Evergreen District president. The 2010 motto for the District is “Chapters Helping Chapters” – something that Ken is very passionate about.
If you’re not a barbershopper, then it would be hard for you to understand the “magic” that happens when those chords lock ‘n ring and overtones start popping out into space! … and magic is truly what happens when friends come together to sing – whether in a quartet or a chorus.
Ken sings with BridgeTown Sound in Portland, Oregon, and I sing with three awesome choruses: Harmony of the Gorge (Hood River, OR), Northwest Harmony (Vancouver, WA), and Pride of Portland. I am also the webmaster for Region 24 and several choruses in the Northwest.
We are also founding members of the Pacific Barbershop Summit, a collaboration between the Evergreen District and Regions 13, 24, and 26.
